Start driving from Entebbe to Kibale National Park, 5-6 hours through Mityana-Mubende town-Fort Portal city. This short road trip comes with scenic views of the countryside and at Fort Portal City; you will make a brief stopover for lunch. Proceed straight to the lodge for relaxation but don’t forget the spectacular Crater Lake views and the Rwenzori Mountain ranges.

After breakfast, continue to Kanyanchu Visitor Centre to get briefed about your chimpanzee trekking adventure and rules. The park official will assign guides to lead you once you have insight into guidelines and the whole adventure is expected to go for 2-4 hours. The 2-4 hours trek includes 1 hour of a close encounter with a habituated chimpanzee community and observing how these primates behave, taking photos, etc.

Get back while spotting other primates and birds in the park. Proceed to the lodge for lunch, and relaxation and by 2 pm, you will be visiting Bigodi Wetland for an enriching guided nature walk. At Bigodi, you will be looking for different primates, flora and bird species.

Early in the morning, a hefty breakfast will be enjoyed and later, you will be picked up by your driver guide. Set off to Kampala/Entebbe 5-6 hours’ drive and today brings to an end the 3-day chimpanzee trekking safari in Kibale National Park.
