Bookings
WanderLux Safaris considers a booking to be CONFIRMED once an initial deposit of 50% is made. We encourage all our guests to make payments at least 20 days prior to the actual date of traveling to Rwanda or any destination of preference. Our booking process/system is flexible thus accommodating even last minute bookings but this is dependent on availability.
Payments
Full payment MUST be completed at least 30 days prior to the actual date of your trip. In case full payment isn’t received as guided, WanderLux Safaris will treat the booking as CANCELLED.
Cancellation policy
At WanderLux Safaris, we always do our best to ensure that cancellation of confirmed bookings are avoided, however, we reserve the right to do so. A confirmed trip shall NOT be cancelled less than 2 months prior to actual visit unless we are forced to do so due to unusual and unexpected circumstances beyond our control. Where cancellation is made –except where you have failed to make payment, WanderLux Safaris shall provide an alternative for you book another trip that still offers the same standard to the originally booked one, but this is subject to availability.
Refund can be made if the alternative trip chosen costs less than the original holiday and in case it costs higher than expected, you will be asked to pay additional charge to have it fully cleared. Our guests are also entitled to a full refund of all that they paid except the cost paid to obtain gorilla trekking permits which cannot be refunded if the refund has been made available to us by UWA-Uganda Wildlife Authority or RDB –Rwanda Development Board.
We shall not be liable to any cost where cancellation is made outside our stated clause.
WanderLux Safaris Ltd reserves the right, without prior notice to terminate the trip of any guest in your party if, in our opinion/opinion of any other person in authority, persons concerned behave in a manner that causes/likely to cause danger, distress, or annoyance to the 3rd party/damage to property.
In this case, the person/persons concerned shall be required to exit the accommodation or other service as soon as possible. The company shall not have further responsibility towards such person(s). Refunds shall not be made or expenses shall not be paid or any costs incurred as a result of trip termination.
Cancellation by guests
In the event that a guest decides to cancel their trip, notification in writing should be sent early enough. We won’t consider any cancellation with no copy of your written notice or supporting documents. To cover our estimated loss accruing from cancellation, cancellation fees shall be applied per person and in accordance to our refund policy.
Refund policy
- In case a trip is cancelled about 91 days or more before the actual date of departure, a full refund exclusive of Administration fees shall be made.
- 75% of the amount deposited shall be refunded in case a trip is cancelled between 90 and 45 days prior to the departure date.
- Refund shall not be made in case a trip is cancelled in less than 45 days to departure date.
