Prepare for an extraordinary day of gorilla adventure with our 1-Day Impressive Mountain Gorillas in Rwanda itinerary. This unique journey offers an awe-inspiring opportunity to meet the majestic mountain silverback gorillas in the wild, an encounter that promises to be nothing short of life-changing. Your day begins early, with a pickup in Kigali and a scenic drive to Volcanoes National Park. En route, you’ll witness the beauty of Rwanda’s thousand hills, passing by coffee and banana plantations, and experiencing the daily rhythms of local life.
Detailed Itinerary
- 4:00 am: Early morning pickup in Kigali (place to be advised), meet your guide and transfer to the kigali airport.
- Transfer to Musanze / Volcanoes NP. En route you will immediately feel that you are in the country of 1000 Hills. Along the way you will see different coffee plantations, banana plantations and busy daily lifestyle of Rwandan local people. (2,5-3 hours’ drive
- 7:00am -Transfer to headquarters for a briefing to prepare for your trekking.
- Hike with local ranger to find the gorilla family and spent 1 hour with them.
- We will offer a free porter per person who will assist you with your daypack, and give you hand when the path is slippery, steep, or irregular. The porters are from the local community and registered by the Rwanda Wildlife Authority, in this way we also support the local community.
- Lunch in Musanze (included)
- After lunch visit the Ellen DeGeneres / Diane Fossey campus in Musanze for a round tour and learn from the behaviour of gorilla’s and the work of Diane Fossey.
- Transfer back to Kigali International Airport to connect your international flight (2,5-3 hours’ drive)
