DAY 1: Transfer from Kigali to Volcanoes NP- Visit Ellen Campus

Pick up from your hotel (Place to be advised) Meet your guide and transfer by road from Kigali to Volcanoes national park a stunning three-hour drive north among the lush, green landscape of the countryside. The landscape of Volcanoes National Park is incredible with a spectacular line of volcanoes far into the distance.
Proceed with a visit to Ellen Campus and learn more about conservation in Africa and how the campus helps to educate tourists and local communities on the importance of conserving gorillas as well as provide a state-of-the-art facility to train the next generation of conservationists.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes national park.

Early Morning breakfast, meet your guide and drive transfer to the park headquarters where briefing, porters and tea and coffee will be given before starting the adventure into the forest.
We offer complementary Local porters who can help with the guide to complete the gorilla tracking experience. Who will assist you with your daypack, and give you hand when the path is slippery, steep, or irregular.
Your guide will drive you to the starting point: Tracking can be between 90 minutes and the whole morning depending on what family group is assigned. You will spend one hour with the gorillas – sometimes moving around to stay with the gorillas or following them. The guide will ensure you are in the best spots to take the most beautiful pictures and experience the breath-taking experience properly.

Additional Notes

Yellow Fever vaccination certificate is not required for travelers. Yellow Fever is a current risk in Rwanda due to the outbreaks taking place in the region. It is recommended that all travelers over the age of 9 months receive this vaccine. This is also important for travelers who will continue to other EAC countries since Uganda, Tanzania and Kenya all require yellow fever vaccinations as well. If you are coming from, or recently, within 24 days, travelled to, a Yellow Fever endemic country then a Yellow Fever vaccination will be requested at least 10 days before arrival in Rwanda.
